COVID-19 NOTICE:
Bawd Hall re-opened on Monday 12 April. The government roadmap places restrictions on the size and composition of parties that we can accept. Currently, we can only accept parties all from one household and it seems that the best that we can hope for is:
We will offer discounted prices for smaller parties. We can offer the following prices to parties of no more than 6 persons:
For bookings not in the May half term and taking place between Friday 16 April and Friday 25 June, 7 nights starting on a Monday or Friday for £1150, 3 night weekend or 4 night mid-week break for £850.
If you have specific dates in the future when you would like to come, please get in touch either by telephone to the owner, Alison Evens on 01900 828189, by email to Enable JavaScript to view protected content. or by completing the on-line booking enquiry form on our availability and prices page . Given that the situation still holds uncertainties, we are prepared to offer parties who are prevented from staying at Bawd Hall, owing to COVID-19 issues, a postponement or full refund.
Please note that Bawd Hall benefits from superfast (FTTP) internet which can be of enormous benefit at the current time. While we can never guarantee availability, it has been reliably fast since installation.
Bawd Hall is the ideal base for a cycling holiday. The Lake District contains many recognised cycle routes and Lake District cycling holidays are becoming an increasingly popular way to experience the dramatic landscape:
The most famous cycle route is the C2C or coast to coast. The route travels through the northern Lake District close to Bawd Hall and over the Pennines. C2C is not a clearly marked cycle route but employs roads, old railways, and bridle paths combined with unspoilt hills and countryside to provide a truly exhilarating cycling experience.
For those who prefer good summer’s day rides as a way to see the lake district, then:
There are also excellent custom-made mountain bike routes at Whinlatter:
There are a number of places to hire cycles, or have them mended, should you require.
